**Registration Note**

LBSC offers recreational softball programs from Pinto thru Pony ages. Younger divisions typically play all games at LBSC while older divisions may play with other local community organizations. We look forward to having you join us this season!

• Designed for ages 7 and 8
• Focuses on advancing basic softball skills
• Gameplay features coaches and player pitching (as ability permits). The game set-up is 3 outs per inning and no stealing.
• Competition is not emphasized
• Teams meet twice a week. Early in the season is 1 or 2 practices a week, transitioning to a practice/game mix.
• All present players on the roster will bat in a rotational order.
• There is a Short Center in play so that 10 kids are playing instead of 9, maximizing playing opportunities/development.
• Pitching Distance - 30 ft, Base Distance - 55 ft.
• Games at 1.5 hours
• Participates in a local league with Lockport, Homer Glen, and Orland Park

• Designed for ages 9 and 10
• Focuses on advancing softball skills and learning game situations.
• Games feature player pitching, limited stealing, and scorekeeping.
• Standings are maintained and there is a year-end championship tournament
• Teams meet twice a week. Early in the season is 1 or 2 practices a week, transitioning to practice/game mix.
• Full Kid Pitch
• There are leadoffs and players are allowed to steal after the ball crosses home plate. Players can not steal home.
• There are (4) outfielders in play so that 10 kids are playing instead of 9, maximizing playing opportunities/development.
• Pitching Distance - 35 ft, Base Distance 60 ft.
• Bunting is allowed, but there are no "dropped 3rd strike" and "infield fly" rules in play at this level.
• Games are 1.5 hours
• Participates in a local league with Lockport, Homer Glen, and Orland Park

• Designed for ages 11 and 12
• Focuses on teaching all aspects of the game of softball
• Standings are maintained and there is a year-end championship tournament
• Teams meet twice a week. Early in the season is 1 or 2 practices a week, transitioning to practice/game mix.
• Lead Offs and Balks are now in place. Players can now steal home.
• Dropped 3rd strike and infield fly rules are now in place.
• Pitching Distance - 40ft, Base Distance 60ft
• Games are 1.5 hours
• Participates in a local league with Lockport, Homer Glen, and Orland Park
